Mission Statement
Just as Dr. Maria Montessori developed her educational philosophy for the underprivileged children of an Italian slum, USA Montessori strives to keep in practice with the original endeavors of Dr. Montessori--To make the Montessori educational model available to aspiring educators who are most likely to dramatically impact the lives of the children who enter their classrooms. Hence, we offer this completely online and very affordable program as an alternative to traditional Montessori training.
TRADITIONAL SCOPE and SEQUENCE Practiced by USAMThe USAM teacher training program adheres to a traditional approach to "scope and sequence" virtually unchanged since Dr. Montessori herself chartered what would become the first pro-cultural diversity, pro-peace, pro-ecological sustainability, and pro-cosmic awareness educational model ever. 3-6 Scope6-9 Scope(While we are not a 3-6 training institution, we transition from a 3-6 scope smoothly introducing the 6-9 concepts listed above in our album-building courses)

A USA Montessori Diploma* is Granted at Program Completion
*A USA Montessori Diploma should not be confused with a Montessori Elementary Teaching Credential offered by AMS or AMI--These programs are very costly, require lengthy physical attendance in a classroom, and demand a one-year full-time student teacher practicum at an accredited Montessori school for elementary-age children. While a traditional program may be the most thorough way to acquire Montessori training, financial and geographical constraints preclude many aspiring educators from realizing their dream of teaching or homeschooling utilizing the Montessori educational model.
What's Included with the USAM 6-9 Program?
1. Online Courses: Peace Education I, Peace Education II, Philosophy I, Philosophy I, Online Mentorship Phase I, Online Mentorship Phase II and the Album Building Series of Online Workshops in which participants build their own teaching manuals appropriate for a 6-9 classroom.
